The Drive Delta Ultra-Light 1000 Full-Electric Low Bed offers unmatched compatibility. Its bed frame is suitable for use with both Drive's and most other manufacturers bed ends, regardless of their age.
The Delta 1000's adaptability is largely attributed to its bed frame, which can be paired with bed ends from Drive and various other old and new manufacturers. A key feature of its interchangeability is the transition box mounted on the foot section, which allows for adjustments to the high/low shaft rotation. The headboard is intentionally designed taller than the footboard to seamlessly blend with home decor, while the wood grain panels are resistant to breaking and scratching. Once set up, the high/low shaft remains attached to the bed, preventing loss or misplacement during future installations. Labels and color-coded springs ensure the side rails are accurately installed for enhanced patient safety. The bed's distinct motor is self-contained, reducing weight and noise levels. With a deck height ranging from 9 ½" to 23 ½", the bed is easily assembled and highly accessible due to the top-mounted Hi/Lo crank. The height-adjustable motor comes pre-installed on the foot section, while the caster smoothly transitions between standard and low bed positions. The motor assembly can be installed and removed even with the patient in bed. The bed, side rails, and mattress have been safety-tested by SGS, a nationally recognized testing facility, and meet all FDA entrapment guidelines. The motor is UL approved, and in case of a power outage, a 9-volt battery in the hand control can lower the head and foot sections up to nine times. The updated hand pendant features large, user-friendly controls, and the bed ships in two separate cartons. To prevent back strain for caregivers, the hand crank is conveniently located in a low position at the top of the footboard. The channel frame construction offers increased strength, decreased weight, and a zinc-coated spring deck. An extension kit is available for extending the bed length from 80" to 84". This patent-pending bed has a weight capacity of 450 lbs.
